Did they activate the On-Star for you. If they did, you've got to go ahead and get the On-Star app on your phone (at least for the 6 months free). We did that, and I've had a blast with it so far. If you've never done it before, the app reads your vehicle, mileage, oil consumption, location, plus it let's you lock-unlock your doors, start and turn of your engine, and blow your horn ... a most fun thing to do when at a parking lot and someone walks by your vehicle!
We're taking advantage of the free 6 months, but for $29 a month there after, I don't know if it's really worth it or not. By then, the thrill of the new toy will probably be over, and we will most likely cancel then.

If you let the OnStar laps for a few months they come back and offer it at about 1/2 price.
