I had to pull my tank. Flip it on an end. Pour some water in it, not fill it all the way up, but enough to find the leak. Marked it. Emptied it. Then let it sit for a few days in the sun to let the water evaporate out of it. Finally used the heat gun to seal it.
I've used other stuff on my spa at home that was like an epoxy. Had a few tiny leaks in the pvc jet plumbing. I put the stuff on wet, under pressure from the jets. It's held for 4 years so far.
