The difference between an ordeal and an adventure is........ your attitude.
Start and stay debt free. - HalmfamilyExplorerLook up. These fifth wheels are tall. Tree branches, power and phone lines and fuel station canopies will jump out and grab you.
Test dump with grey water before dumping the black water. Much easier to clean up when your hose is not fully connected.
A bad day of camping is better than a good day at work. - GrandpereExplorerMake a check list of everything that needs to be done every time you get ready to hit the road. Put down even the most minor or seemingly obvious things. Then once in the pickup go through the list to make sure you are actually ready to leave. More than once I have seen a RV go flying by us and the sewer hose or power cord dragging behind them, or a cargo bay door open.

Thanks. We have already made a pack that we are not going to be 'one of those couples' that others watch in the campground!
Have fun, laugh no matter what.

Always perform the "pull test"-refer to owner's manual for instructions if unsure of how to perform this task.
X1, dropping a 5th wheel on your bed rails is not a pretty sight and costly:( - Racine96ExplorerDon't push yourself driving more than you should, you have time to get there.

Haven't used it in 6 months............then why in heck are you packing it around
Sit down and put together an EXIT PLAN - MarkTwainExplorerWords if Wisdom,
1. buy the best tires you can afford depending on the weight of your rig when loaded. If you weigh around 8K or more then buy: LT tires, 10 ply, "E" or "G" if they will fit.
2. Buy an Emergency Road Side policy. Look at the Good Sam policy and compare it to other plans you might have heard of. - MarkTwainExplorerWords of Wisdom--- "communication while backing up"
1.Buy a good set of Walkie-- talkies so your spotter can help direct you when you are backing up.
OR
2. Buy a CB for your truck and a handheld CB for your spotter to direct you when backing up.
3. When backing up, have your spotter tell you to turn to an object on your right i.e (class A RV on your right. Have the spotter tell you to turn left towards an object i.e.( Big Horn trailer"). Telling you to turn the 5th. wheel left or right when you are backing up can be confusing but not impossible.
