As soon as I pull into the parking area we are going to overnight, I scan the area looking for a spot that has a slight slope to it and allow me to partially open my slide. I'll park to where my truck is pointing down slope. If needed, I'll put blocks under the landing gear and raise the FW level with the landing gear. More times than not, I don't need to raise the landing gear.
I have a bubble level on the side close to the landing gear switch. There has been times when I'll pick a spot, get out to check the bubble, then either pull forward, back up or pick another spot to get the bubble close enough to level to where the landing gear will trim it out.
Leveling side to side is a different matter.
