Water pump operation takes about half of the circuit load. That's enough to cause other lights on the same circuit to dip a bit in the cycles.
Wiring diagrams are so variable. Installers look for shortcuts as they learn the individual units, and moving things now might involve running wires from their present location to where you want them, but there is no shortcuts.
