Wkend warrior TH modifications

Hello,
I know this has been discussed, and there was a very nice thread in 2007 it looks like with OP posting many pics of various mods, but the thread is now closed and the pictures not available... If that thread could gets its pictures back, that would fantastic!
But until then...
I have a 2006 fk2100, and I'm wondering if folks have already eorked on these things...

1. The sewer drains hang really low, making off the grid forest camping a little risky at times. What creative ways have people modified this to give more clearance?

2. The monitor panel seems to do a horrible job of accurate reads on the battery.. Are their better units that won't break the bank? A voltage readout would be nicer so I can really know the state of the charge...

3. We have a single queen size bunk above the garage. Newer units seem to often have 2 now. Have people come up with clean, solid, methods to add in a second bed in the garage that pushes up out of the way like the original?

4. Looking for slick method to carry 5 bicycles and sometimes a dual sport motorbike. Current bicycles layout on the floor making it difficult to use much of the toyhauler while in transit. The ' bolt it on' systems look pretty good.... How do you all carry a the families fleet of bikes?

Thanks!

    THAT'S THE ONE!

Building that rack was my son's one and only exposure to cutting & gluing PVC (shame on me, I guess). But now this summer he is working on a landscape construction crew. Now he knows which color pipes are used for which applications, etc. (above or below ground, pressure lines or laterals...). It's nice to finally see my kid leaving the house for work earlier than me. What a world.

    yes indeed!

  • 1) Do an axle flip (spring over axle) to raise the trailer
    3) Happi Jac
    4) Look at bike racks made for truck beds on Amazon/Ebay and find a way to secure it inside the trailer.
  • There have been many discussions about adding the Happi Jac double bed system to older trailers, try searching Happi Jac; problem will be backing in the walls for the support rails.

As for bicycles there was a thread that was here for a plan for a PVC rack that you put the wheels into, sort of like the old rack at school. Dedmiston had one I think.
  • The photos are hosted on Racorman's photobucket, appears he's pulled them. Since that thread is 10 years old it's what's to be expected. He's still an active member so you might PM him to see if he still has the photos, he's now a Class A owner so may not see this thread.
