Wolf Pack 30 WP Tongue weight

Just wondering if anybody has one and know what the tongue weight is loaded. Unloaded it is 1157#. So should I buy the 1200# or the next size up 1500# in the Reese Strait line Dual cam?

  • We had one. It was a great trailer. tongue weight was 1600 to 2000 depending on how we loaded up, with or without toys. Our trailer had the generator and fiberglass sides, thus increasing the weight. We had 1200 lb bars with the dual cam hitch. There was no sway, but it sagged the rear of both dualies we owned.

If you have more questions about the trailer let me know.

  • Yeah that's what I figured. Good to come on here and get some ideas and thoughts to back up up ones own thoughts.
  • Without a doubt, go with the 1500lbs bars. You'll blow the 1150lbs empty tongue weight as soon as you put groceries in it. I'm assuming you did mean "empty" tongue weight and not "dry" tongue weight. If it's dry, you will be way over 1200lbs by the time you add propane and battery to the tongue, plus any other opions. Toys in the back will usually lighten the tongue, but not by much. If you ever tow without toys you will be well over 1200lbs. It won't hurt anything to go with bigger bars.
