If you have had them for years, maybe it is time to see if there are now products on the market that will allow you to have stronger nails without the acrylics. I wouldn't want to mess with trying to find somewhere to have my nails done every few weeks.
You are going to have many other things to get used when you start fulltiming, maybe this is just one more thing to add to that list. If it doesn't work out without them, you can always try something else.
