Just like warranty/service contract deals...it's all about the money. Dealers don't like working with some warranty outfits because they've been stiffed or payment is always late.
GS contracts with these towing companies and there is an expectation of service. While it's GS responsibility to ensure the companies they contract with it's also our responsibility to let them know when the towing company fails. I always call Coach Net, my chosen provider, to commend/condemn their service provider. This provides them with knowledge as to whom they are dealing with. AAA has been in business much much longer than GS. That said, I can remember many years ago when AAA had many of the same issues. They have finally figured it out, GS still has a bit to go.
To the OP, when told there were no service providers available, did you ask if you found one that was satisfactory could you get reimbursed? Often that's the best solution. I'm not sure where GS dispatch office is or whether it's even in this country...Dennis
