Bogus ? Good Sam card

In the mail this week, we received two envelopes from Good Sam Roadside Assistance. One was addressed to me, and the other to my wife.

Inside each envelope were two cards. In both cases, one card had my name, and the other had the name of a woman I've never heard of.

After calming down my wife, I went down the road to a Camping World, and showed them the cards. I also asked about our account. They did have our account with our names on it, and weren't able to find anything with the other woman's name.

They also told me that it was quite common for someone to shop there and say that they've forgotten their cards. The cashier volunteers to look it up, and the customer would give a name. The cashier would do a search, and find something with the same last name and ask it that was their card (even though the first name wasn't the same). Then the customer says yeah that's me, and may even have the address and phone number changed.

What worries me is that these cards had my name and the name of the "other woman" which makes me wonder what someone could do regarding ordering stuff online, roadside assistance, etc.

Does anyone have a good answer for my mysterious second wife's card???

  • was she mad at you or CW. LOL. call the good sam customer line and see what they say. I would think they could only order online if they have you credit card or other info to actually pay for the items. was the "other" women the same last name or was it an address error.
