Good Sam Credit Card

I apologize for any confusion on the change in creditor on your Good Sam Visa from Barclays to Comenity Bank. I have confirmed with the new issuer that the new credit card packages were mailed as scheduled on Friday, August 22nd and should arrive any day now. Please note that your current card is still active and your new Good Sam | Camping World Visa can be activated on August 29th. Correction to my earlier post. Your current Barclays issued card will remain active until August 31st. Your new Good Sam | Camping World Visa will be arriving any time now. You can activate and begin using your new card as of August 31, 2014. Once you have activated your new card, please destroy your old card.

All of these instruction will be provided with your new credit card but please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have regarding the transition.

Hope they get here Thursday as Friday we are pulling out for 3 weeks so guess Discover will get my business and Pilot/FK will lose.

Is't changing credit cards on a Sunday of a three day weekend, when most RV'ers are out of town a little silly Marcus?

Come on, everybody. It's the card issuer, in this case Comenity Bank that determines when the cards will be mailed and can be activated. GoodSam has a financial relationship with the bank, but doesn't determine the banks' operating practices.

I want to provide more detail on the timing of the conversion of our current credit cards from Barclays to Comenity Bank on August 31, 2014. Unfortunately, the exact date of the transition was determined by Bank schedules. Since we were aware that it was a Holiday weekend and many of our cardholders would likely be traveling, we worked with both banks to ensure that there would be zero down time during the transition. This means that your current Barclays card will work until August 31st and you will be able to activate your new card on August 31st. To eliminate the possible gap in service during the transition it was critical that the timing of the deactivation of the old accounts and the activation of the new accounts be timed very closely. We have also worked with both Banks to ensure that any charges that are made on your Barclays account after it is deactivated will be processed through September 1st to provide more flexibility if needed.

Our goal is to not have any interruption in service and to minimize any inconvenience this may cause our cardholders. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Update::: Got my cards today. Problem to resolve is that Pensacola Naval Base RV Park had no net connection when we were there last year. Guess I will go to
visit a mall. No problem I have Discover still.

I'm pretty disappointed with the transition of the new credit card company. There was hardly any notice. I use a mail service so I don't get mail every single day. My letter was written on August 11th and I just got it yesterday but I still don't have the credit card yet. I hope our points transfer over because I had a ton of points that I was planning on using once my husband is out of the military and we start to travel more.

I apologize for the delay in your change in creditor notice and receipt of your new card. The bank is required legally to mail those to the address associated with your account. All cards were mailed First Class on August 22nd so you should receive them any time. Your current card will work through September 1st. All of your points will transfer to your new account and will be valid for an additional three years as long as your account remains in good standing.
