or just sign up for both of them. I've had both GS and CN together for many years. I have 3 RV's, 3 trucks and a Harley to worry about.
If I don't get the response I need from one, I call the other. At $100 /yr its cheap insurance
So do you pay $100 a year for both? or each? Are all your vehicles on both policies? And is the cost based on the number of vehicles you have on the policy?
Also have you had the opportunity to use both and are they about the same or is one better than the other?
Thank you! - 4X4DodgerExplorer IIThanks for all the replies. I had already thought of subscribing to two services and I may do that when the time comes.
What about the RV Insurance? has anyone had any experience with both? - pipers_familyExplorerWe had a slide problem over 2000 miles from home- called Coach Net- they sent a tire repair crew that supposed to be there by 8PM, showed up at 2AM and had never worked on a slide. We were in a very close RV park, so I'm sure our neighbors were not happy, and neither were we. We apologized to them the next morning- nice folks. They were un-kept and unknowledgeable. We finally sent them home, but not before they tore out our slide seal and gave us the heebie jeebies for over an hour- did not even know there was a motor to the slide, much less where it was. Bad and only experience with Coach New.
- UsualSuspectExplorerI had CN, flat tire, no one showed up, ended up calling someone on my own after CN swore the service had been rendered because they had called the tow company. They will side with the tow company. I ended up paying for it out of pocket, and CN refused to reimburse me for it. If you post anything negative on the CN FB page, they delete it, no message, guess they do not like folks airing dirty laundry.
I now have GS, used it twice, no problems. Just my opinion, all the providers have good and bad, you have just have to try to figure out who has the better service in places you visit and may use them. I have not had any reason to be towed anywhere, just needed small stuff, flat repairs, dead battery, and a loose air line I did not have the parts to fix myself.
I also have AAA, needed their battery service. They showed up an hour late, did not bring the right battery, and had to leave and come back with one. I did get on my way, but it took 3 hours.
Good luck with whomever you choose, hopefully you will never need to use them. - jrpExploreror just sign up for both of them. I've had both GS and CN together for many years. I have 3 RV's, 3 trucks and a Harley to worry about.

Pick the plan that works for you as they both have more then one.
Then in a few years switch to the other one with their new customer rate.
The Good Sam one uses Allstate RV Road help for service.
So start out with GS then switch to Coach Net then switch to Allstate for lower price. - kalynzooExplorerWhen you need it, the only thing that will count is who is the contract facility in your area. All the phone people are nice, they act concerned, they ask if you need 911 assistance, then they find a contract tow/repair near you. If you get a good one it is wonderful. If you get a bad one it is a horror story. And if, like me, CN couldn't find anyone to answer the call on the 101 in Washington, near Port Angeles, on a weekday morning, then you are SOL and on your own until tomorrow. Just pick one and hope that you will never need the service. If they do you right, you renew, and if you have a complaint you end up changing to the other company. I currently have GS. I understand both companies write excellent apology letters. AAA is in the same class, if you read the contract closely they can leave you in a safe location for 3 hours and come back for you if their busy (happened to my son) and since they are regional "clubs" if your in an area that does not have RV coverage they will make "reasonable reimbursements" or something like that whatever that means. I have Coach Net. Once I had a soft tire at a campground and the campground helped me put on the spare. Once I had an alt go bad and the battery was dead, a business two doors down from where I was gave me a jump because he saw my hood up. I haven't had any trouble with Coach Net. It does make me feel good to have it.
Please help me understand:
1. You have Coach Net
2. You had a flat you changed yourself.
3. You had a dead battery and got a jump start yourself.
4. You haven't had any trouble with Coach Net.
5. You feel good having it.
I think if you have not used Coach Net, it would be hard for you to have any trouble with it or even any good experience with it.
I never used my auto ins either but I feel good knowing I have it. Sometimes you just have to take the easy way. It might be easier to do it then wait for someone to come. I wasn't that busy anyway. - WyoTravelerExplorerI think this is a decision every RVer has to make on their own. I had GSERS for years. When needed it was tough getting what I paid for. Since Marcus almost impossible. Since I read almost every post on this forum I switched to Coach Net. Is it any better? Don't know. Can't be any worse. Last time I called GSERS all I got was a busy signal. Unfortunately it is like insurance. You hope it is there when you need it. JMHO marcus is doing a great job for his investors. Not so much for RVers. However, that is just my personal opinion. If you think GSERS works for you keep it.
