coast to coast membership

we are weighing the options of purchasing a coast to coast membership.
We are gone for 4-6 weeks in the winter going to either Florida or
out west, so we definitely are not full timers, nor will we ever be.
We do have a campground membership at Christmas Mountain in the Wisconsin Dells, where we can be in for 14 days and must be out for 7. That is also a coast to coast park. I am thinking that I may just pay the coast to coast fee of $10/night for the seven days, and then go back in for the 14 days. I have also heard that we can repurchase a coast to coast membership from someone who is selling theirs. Does anyone know anything about repurchasing them?
  • Many if not most parks will NOT allow you to any other membership to pay for your "out" week(s). You can use the C2C at another park but not the same park.

Would not make sense to by another park membership if yours offers C2C already as the rules won't change.

Now if you found a membership at your alternate location that made financial sense for your kind of use great, then be sure and check resale and verify all fees and restrictions before you fork over the cash.
  • We have not renewed our C2C membership as we do not travel enough to justify it. We can buy our off time (we are 13 on, 5 off) for $30 a night and must use a site in the rear as not to monopolize the "prime sites". We know several full time couples and no one has ever mentioned using their C2C membership to pay their off.

When we do travel, we just use Passport America. For less than the cost of 2 years C2C, I bought a lifetime membership to Passport America.

Depends upon your needs and as stated, you need to read the rules for your "home CG".
  • we just upgraded with TRA seems to be a good thing for us as we travel around alot and get to take advantage of the new upgrade. not sure waht issues your talking about would be nice to be enlightened
  • Just a heads up IMO I would not go thru any of the Travel Resorts of America to get the C2C membership. We just had some dealings with TRA in regards to our membership there and C2C and are not happy with the change in direction that TRA is taking.
  • First.....

Check your membership/home park restrictions and that you can actually stay/pay the 7 days out after 14 days. Might NOT be an option.

IF you decide to purchase C2C affiliate membership do it via RESALE.....not thru your home park. Resale must cheaper.

    Resale
