Concerned. National General Insurance

Cc: National General Insurance
On Friday the 7 of October 2016 I received an email telling me that a payment of $570.50 was due in two days and then a phone message informing me of the same.
FORTUNITLY I was able to use a credit card to service this unexpected expense by phone and avoided a laps in our insurance coverage.
National General Insurance didn’t mail, email, or call with a 30 day notice NOR does it show a Payment due in my account webpage.
Second, National General Insurance’s maximum RV insurance of $500k is insufficient and barely covers the member given the risk and value of RV vehicles.
Third, National General Insurance reports to the states that the RV is not insured when put in to Stored/Parked mode. This forces GoodSam members to unregister and reinstate the registration in person at the state MVD each time it goes in to storage. Note, we also have USAA insurance on 4 cars that go in and out of Stored/Parked mode each year and don’t have that problem.
Good Sam needs to assist their membership by insisting that National General Insurance keep their customers informed.
Avoid unnecessary administrative headaches.
Provide easy to understand, current, and accurate information in the members account webpages.
