Can anyone share their experience w/National General Insurance? If you were to file a claim, do they have adjusters coming out to you. We are fulltimers and thinking of going w them, just wanted to make sure if a claim is filed do we have to take rv to a camping world or will an adjuster come to us. And if you have had this company, what are your thoughts.

I've had National General insurance since about the late 80s. I've never had any big claims. Only glass breakage. Urban they send a glass guy to your house to replace. Rural I 've gone in to have it replaced. Never a problem dealing with them.

We have had to use them twice. Once for an accident and then for a cracked windshield. We had no problems at all with National General. They took care of both in a timely manner. They were very easy to work with.

camping World really has nothing to do with it other than getting a kick back from selling their insurance.

It shouldn't take a negative post in a forum to get them to answer the phone. This was all I needed to hear to cross them off of my list.

Also if I were you I would edit my previous post because who knows who is going to call next!

We have been through the mill with Good Sam aka GMAC aksNational General insurance. They are undoubtedly the worst company around. The scam old people into thinking they are "Good Sam" which they are not. They would not pay our claim on the Water damage to our TT. After months of the run around! There final reason was it was too old! So why did we pay for insurance? Idk then we had a accident in Florida,no tow company's would take the tow, because they did not pay we were told! Perfect! We ended up driving out damaged car home,which ruined the transmission. They will not pay for a new one,and we are suing them now for over a year to get reimbersed.
National Genreral insurance are lowlife crooks. "Good Sam".
Go elsewhere!

I JUST GOT MY RENEWAL POLICY FROM NATIONAL GENERAL. LAST JANUARY I HAD A SMALL ACCIDENT IN THE STORAGE YARD TO MY FIFTH WHEEL. MY POLICY WENT UP 66% FOR THIS ONE TIME ACCIDENT WHICH NO ONE ELSE WAS INVOLVED. NEVER HAD A CLAIM FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS THEY HAVE INSURED ME. NO DOUBT I WILL BE LOOKING TO MOVE TO ANOTHER RV INSURER.
