Daily Journal

Marcus, I have tried to research the forum and have also called the life member services number and was not able to get and answer. Last August and September we took and RV trip to Yellowstone National park. During the time we was able to use one of the benefits on the Good Sam web site under the community link. It gave us the opportunity to post journal entires and pictures while we proceeded on our trip. For several months there after we were able to go up on our link and review our trip. All of the sudden the link was eliminated with no notice. When I called your life member services line I was told it was taken off by upper management with no other explanation. Two things, will the service be coming back and is there anyway to get the information that we compiled during the trip. If I had known I would have downloaded all the info but was never notified. Thanks and appreciate all your efforts in rejuvenating the club and camping world. Richard

Just and update to this issue. I was very impressed to have and immediate response from Marcus yesterday afternoon. He advised he would work on it right now. This morning I was sent and email from Good Sam explaining why the journal service was shut down and a way to get my journal back. I am pleased to say I have been able to retrieve our journal from the trip to Yellowstone. The reason for them shutting down the service was not enough members were using it. Thanks to Marcus and his staff.

Is that O.K. with you CRABBIN CABIN?

Thanks for the update. Now we know the truth and do not have to speculate.

    Amen to that.

Closing the journal because of non-use is understanding. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with no notice. They should have given the users a notice and a specific time to retrieve their information. A general announcement should have also been made on the website.

I applaud management for taking care of this for the poster. However, should the CEO have to personally handle this low level snafu? It seems Mr. Lemonis subscribes to the management by crisis theory, and he does not empower his subordinates.

Deleting the information without notice shows contempt for the people using it. I bet many people lost information and others references for future trips they planned.

Not surprised. It happens here also.
