ESP is not the same as roadside assistance. I am neither in danger, nor distress. Well, beyond the obvious distress of having to deal with a mechanical problem and take a day or 2 off of work unexpectedly.
The ESP is for helping cover out of warranty issues. I'm looking to see just how responsive Good Sam will be to my predicament. The motor is, I believe, a covered repair. However, I cannot move the 5er since the slides are open, the landing gear is down and all of that is dependent upon the motor which will no longer run the pump that moves the hydraulic fluid.
I've gotten a quote on GS ESP, Silver Plan. It does not cover the slide hydraulics but they can be added on as a package which is what we are going to do. We have GS Platinum Roadside Service too, so I would imagine with both in this situation, you'd be covered. Keep us posted on how they respond.
