extended service plan

I must start by saying that the extended service contract has worked in the past. However the camping worlds don't understand that $50 deductible means all you pay is $50 dollars.
I had a jack replaced on my RV the charge was $50 PLUS $36 labor for hours not covered by service plan, Freight $20, shop supplies 51.04.

$50 dollars deductible should have been the entire charge....

The service was provided by the Syracuse camping world, the camping world where I purchased my 2010 class A unit.
  • I have this coverage and have had no complaints in all the time I have had it. I have had all those items replaced without cost, only deductable, that are covered. As long as the claim is put in properly prior to work being done and items are covered, it will be honored.I found that using a good repair facility who are familiar with coverage and the proper way to submit claims makes payment a lot easier. I presently have my MH in for several items to be repaired, refrig, AC, Sat dish and leveling jack. I expect these items will be covered. Totally satisfied with this program.
  • Scott has offered to reimburse you for the amount that you paid over the $50 deductible. This is being done because you complained on this website. All of the others that have been ripped off and have not complained here are out there extra money. if you watch this forum you will see a continuous stream of complaints with many reimbursements. For those of you that say "Read the small print" I wonder why you defend this program that is so obviously tilted to separate us from our money. If they didn't make money from this ESP they wouldn't be selling it!
  • The Syracuse camping world, needs to understand that freight charges should not be added to bill.

$51.04 for shop supplies??? That's a lot of money for a couple of rags and a glob of hand cleaner.
  • Ironically, years ago we had an extended plan with a company (can't remember name). The local repair shops told us it would be $1500 for us to have the backup camera replaced (!!!!!! HUH?) They said our ins. co. wouldn't pay. We talked to the ins. company.....yes, they would. The repairman never called. We took our rig to Camping World in Junction City, Oregon ------ they replaced the whole camera set up.......and charged us the $50. deductible. So.....I think the problem could very well be WHERE you take the rig and WHAT your contract with the ins. company says. If you read that you should only have to pay $50. deductible......then FIGHT for it.
  • Camping World is one of our Preferred Providers for the Good Sam Extended Service Plan. That means that when you use a Preferred Provider, you should not be charged any labor or materials beyond your deductible for covered repairs. That's why we always ask our Good Sam ESP customers to call us first so that we can help find a qualfied Preferred Provider in their area when they have a mechanical problem.

If your claim was not handled this way, please fax or scan me your work order and I will remiburse you for the difference.
