I don't know. I'd guess that the major portion of the bill was the jacking up, removal, reinstallation of the tire/wheel. The replacement of the valve would have been relatively minimal. I'd say the nice guy at the garage felt the recoup he was getting for the labourous stuff was enough for him to give me the valve for nothing. Like I said, I felt I was treated pretty well by all involved.
