Good Sam Quit Issuing Insurance Car For Trailers?

I just called Customer Service and they told me that they no longer issue insurance cards for trailers. They said we need to copy the declarations page from our insurance policy and put a copy in the trailer. I told them, well, a lot of things and told them I was aware that they recorded the conversations and I wanted it to be recorded. For $150.00 for 6 months insurance on a pop-up, I think they could compromise their profits enough to send me an insurance card or at least have one online for me to copy. This is the first year we have had problems and we have had their insurance for over 10 years so, as I said, only changed their name? Well, I have a name for their change!

Liability insurance is carried by the tow vehicle but collision/comprehensive is a separate policy.

We have the EX-GOOD Sam Insurance now called "National General", I was stressing EX-GOOD!

If you don't have time to fuss with the paperwork and check everything twice, EX-GOOD doesn't appear to be GOOD enough at least for us.

It wasn't Good Sam Insurance...it was GMAC, which is now National General. Good Sam also writes under Allied and possibly others. When getting the quote through Good Sam, we found Allied to be half the price of GMAC... We have just an insurance card for it. We carry our autos under a different insurance company.

I too have a card for all vehicles and my fifth wheel. I know when I go to the DMV to renew tags, they want to see proof of insurance. We have Farm Bureau Ins.

What insurance company brook side?

I only get cards for my car and my truck. 5th wheel does not get a card.

Out here your trailer is required to have separate insurance and a card to prove it. Don't get stopped and not have a card for the trailer, if it is hooked to the TV.

We have a Subaru, a GMC Sierra and a travel trailer. Each got it's own separate card with our insurance.

X2 Our truck insurance covers the trailer. It is listed only in the policy itself.
