My main question is there any service out there that is known for great service? Well had to use my good sams roadside for the first time today on my F250,I leave in the Memphis area so its not like i was way out in the country, i switched from AAA hoping for a better experience but not to be. It started with me using the app on my phone and made the call was put on hold for 5 min saying nobody available please hold, another 3 minutes past and finally got a great lady that was very nice and said can I have your name and number, i said didnt the app fill all that in she said it works sometimes, anyway she got me all set up and said i can hang up and will get a text of who is coming. this was 10:02 am, got the text at 10:04 that's pretty good but the wait time said be there at 11:27 am 1.5 hrs in 90 degree weather, 11:30 comes I call and get on hold again and then get to a person and tells me to call the tow company so I did and they said he is on the way should be there shortly, call them again at 12 he is close he had to drop another load first, what so i am on a waiting list now. keep story short and they finally showed up at 12:35 that's 2.5 hrs of waiting in the hot sun. my subscription is almost up now I may look at some of the others listed on here.

thanks everyone, did not expect or was i looking for them to respond but that is very cool and that gives them back some respect for customer service, i will respond to him. if anything i can give them good same day customer feedback to help make them better.roadside guy I sent you 2 PM's

Understand about having a good warranty. I have a great independent diesel shop I use for most things. But I also have a great dealer closeby that sells only Ford trucks. So they have an awesome service department that can service just about any size truck, and have some great diesel mechanics.

Glad you found the problem. Just curious, did you take it to the dealer or and independent shop? Enjoy your 4th of July trip.

For all that wanted to know what went wrong with my f250 2006 6.0 it was the high pressure oil pump, dang that hurts but in 10 years this is the first problem i have had and it happened in my town so way better than 400 miles from home for sure..So now i need to go to work to pay for this. safe travels.

We left the Good Sam rally a few yrs ago in Phx and was about 30 miles from Las Cruces Nm head to El Paso.,We broke a hanger and two wheels were touching! Good Sam couldn't find anybody to help us! 30 miles from Las Cruces. 7 hrs we sat there on the side of the road. Good Sam told me to call the state police and they have to help! Finally about 11 pm a truck showed up from Lordsberg ,Nm 125 miles away and he was a welder. He welded my hanger back and followed me in to las cruces where I dropped it off at the dealer. Cost me $125.00 for the repair and for him to follow me in. My wife took great notes and wrote a letter to the CEO of Camping World! Needless to say he was PISSED! He called us and gave us his personal email address and he picked up the tab and gave me another year of roadside service. Marcos was not a happy camper. He and his crew handled everything! We have had to call on him twice and he handled everything!

Well the good part is that i was just in the truck and no 5er attached. i will know more on monday on what happen... thanks again everyone for feedback.

We also "had" Good SAMs roadside service, until we had a flat tire, (a blow out that did body damage), 15 minuets into hold time we hung up and called triple A, which we did not have coverage for the 5th wheel, they gave us the numbers of two local service people, who we called directly, and they were there in 15 minuets! Needless to say we dropped Good SAMs and upgraded our AAA roadside policy to cover the fiver!

Yep I think your wait time was not unreasonable. I have waited for much longer than that before. Good Sam contracts with tow services just the same as all the other roadside assistance companies. Kuddos to GS for their quick response as shown in the previous post above.

And KID2TEXAS, lets us know what you find out with your truck. I am betting the CPS or the IPR.

Yup. It's NOT Good Sam's fault.
They just hook you up with a 'contracted tow service' that is 'close to your location'. Which they did in a timely manner.

If you broke down and YOU called a tow service 'directly' yourself you WOULD be still be put on a wait list too. The tow/repair company services their customers "as the calls come" in based on location, need etc.

Good Sam members are not special simply because you belong to GS, where they would drop everything and run to help them first. :W

During the busy season and if you are in a busy area, 1.5 hours is not a bad wait time at all. WE have waited as long as 5 hours,'
