Good Sam, Thanks for getting me out of a jam.
Unfortunately, we broke down on the interstate yesterday so I called Good Sam Roadside Assistance and had one of the best customer service experiences in my life.
I was first greeted by a pleasant sounding recording with the standard prompts like, what’s your member number, are you in a safe place, phone number in case the call was dropped etc. promptly followed by a real person named Keith.
At first I thought the following paraphrased questions Keith asked
were strange:
Keith “Can you see any business names near you?”
Me “Yes, I can see a Waffle House”
Keith ”OK, there are only two Waffle Houses visible from I-25 off ramps in your area”
Me “It’s the one on Fillmore”
Keith ”OK, we see exactly where you are”
Keith ”What type of vehicle are you in, motorhome, truck towing an RV, etc.?”
Me “I’m in a pick-up and not towing anything”
Then Keith asked me about my truck…make, model, engine type, transmission type and if it was 4 wheel drive, etc. By answering a few simple questions, Keith quickly determined exactly where I was & what type of tow truck was needed.
Keith located a tow company that had the proper equipment which got to my location approximately 30 minutes after Good Sam first answered my phone call.
All in all, Good Sam Roadside Assistance gave me exactly the service I expected from them.
