Good Sam/Camping World gift certificates

Question

I renewed both my Good Sam membership and my Good Sam Road service in the summer knowing I was going on an extended 6mo road trip. A bonus was that I would get a $10 gift certificate for one and a $25 certificate for the other. We don't have Camping World anywhere near where I live in Canada so I figured I would use them in the US in the fall. We are currently camped in Two Rivers in Nashville TN and wouldn't you know it, right next door is a Camping World. So, I go there and pick up some things that are not a need to have, but a nice to have. I go to the check out and present my certificates and what do you know, they both expired on Sept.30th. Thanks Good Sam, you've come through for me again!

Both of your certificates were stamped with an expiration date and you failed to use them by that date.So this is Good Sam &amp; Camping Worlds fault.NOT!!!I just renewed my Good Sam Membership for 2 years and got a $25.00 Camping World merchandise certificate with expiration date of 01/31/2018.Like you I do not have a Camping world nearby so I called their 800# ordered what I didn't need but is nice to have. Wrote my order# on the certificate and mailed it in. As soon as they receive they will issue a $25.00 credit on my credit card.  C.B.

Well, C.B. We’re not all as intuitive as you are obviously. The thing is, I live in a country where gift certificates by law never expire so I guess we don’t all look for those things.

I was told when I renewed my membership at Camping World Tampa (Dover) Florida, "when you get back in Canada and your new membership arrives in the mail, just give us a call and we will sent you a new $25.00 coupon that you will be able to use when you get back to Florida next winter." I called they refused to do anything for me, so consider yourself lucky if they did anything at all for you.
Thank heavens there is a General Rv store at the same exit as the Camping World Store. I'll use them this season.
