Seems a 2014 should be under manufacturers warranty. GS seems to excluded bolts breaking or working loose. Is everyone or anyone saying you damaged the step due to negelect?
How long is the step manufacture warranty? Has the coach manufacturers warranty expired. Hopefully one of the three will cover this. Looks like GS is out. They may help you as as a goodwill and marketing jesture. Need to find the actual cause of failure.
I purchased it new from CW in August 2013 so the manufactures warranty has expired. I have an GS Extended Service Plan. No one is suggesting neglect or damage the shoulder bolt broke when I opened the door from inside the coach and the electric motor engaged the shoulded bolt just droped on the ground under the step and the gear was hanging. I agree I am still courous as to why it broke I am glad it did not happen while someone was standing on it they could have gotten hurt. I would agree if the bolts that attach the step to the coach broke but this is a special bolt the gear rides on that makes the steps extend and retract. That clearly is part of the step mechanisam, that is why I want to dispute the Assurants Solutions dicision. GS is a good company to deal with and I am hopeful that they will help me resolve this. The Service Agreement is pretty clear that Power Steps are covered.
