Inept or not properly trained dispatcher

Had a blowout on my fifth wheel on I-80 pa. Dispatcher took info and stated she would call back in 15 min. 1 hr later I called back stated she was still looking for a service tech. I Called back 1/2 later she state she checked within a 100 mile radius and could not find anyone to respond. She told me to call the State Police . I called the PA state Police and they stated I was close to a service station and they would send him.. Barons Sunoco showed up in less then 10 minutes and did a great job changing the tire and getting me back on my way. The charge $50. Less then what the roadside assistance cost and a lot faster. To make it worse another dispatcher called back after about 2 hrs later and stated that she wanted to confirm that I cancelled the need for service. I advised her I did not cancel the service call and that I was instructed by the dispatcher to call the police. She told me she would send me a form to fill out to reimburse the cost. I'm waiting for the form.

  • I had a blowout on my PU last week. Wasn't able to contact GS. Fortunately I was in my local area. Called local tire dealer. Employee came out and changed it. No charge. Bought new tires when I got in town. When my GS runs out I'm switching to Coach net. I'm in my 70s and DW disabled. I can't risk not getting through or getting an inept employee on the phone.
  • Sounds like you need to get "The Profit" involved on this case. Oh, wait, this IS his company. lol

I hate to say it, but I have used Good Sams road service about three times over the years and each time I found the dispatcher I got on the phone to be inept.
