More than 1 membership.... continuation to April 2nd message

On April 2nd I posted a message concerning my Good Sam Membership card (duplicate number/cards). Thought this had been straightened out and the post was closed -- it has not and I cannot open the message to continue.

In December 2014, I paid cash for a 5th Wheel as a birthday present for my brother. RV was put in his name and we were told he would get an Elite Membership (3 years) as well as a 1 year Travel Assist card.

At that same time I purchased an outside mat and was told I needed to renew my membership in order to purchase. I did renew then months later received my renewal card along with a Elite Membership under a different number. I thought perhaps I also got an Elite Membership as I paid for the RV.

Until this week I thought all was fine until my brother advised he has been trying for over a month with the local CampingWorld to get his membership card.

Today, I received in the mail photocopies of the Travel Assist membership information in my name. Envelope from CampingWorld I purchased the 5th Wheel and it was addressed to both me and my brother. Please note my brother did not live in the same State as I do.

The cards are all in the name of Patsy Dominick (will not put my full address in this message).

Roadside Assistance: 131454746
Elite Membership: 818708745
Deluxe Membership: 810754770

Please advise how I can get my personal membershipcard and my brother get his Elite Card and Travel Assist Card (since the RV is in his name).

  • What could hurt by someone knowing your GS membership number. My FMCA number is displayed on my MH and my license plate number is on all my cars.
    What security breach is a GS number? Now I can order on line using that number so what.
    All it is, is a number they (GS) can use to market too. Easier than using your name. You are only a number to them anyway. They deal in numbers not personalities.

    Elizabeth, I did get the email on April 6th, Like you, felt all was taken care of. Please re-read my begining post of a few days ago to see why it was not taken care of. It involves 2 memberships, 2 people and 2 transactions -- not just me. I will call in to see what can be done -- and of course, now am reminded by several I should not have posted my membership number....... I am not doing well with my Good Sam Membership.

    Sometimes, you do things without thinking (like posting membership numbers just out of frustration. Thank you for reminding me I should NOT have done that. I will call.... again!

    And posting an answer to a customer on face book? What's with that! :R

    Pick up the damn phone and talk directly to these people. Force them to talk to you directly.

  • Did you call the GS elite service phone number you were given in the other post? What did they tell you when you called?
