It is always sad to hear stories like this.
I had a similar bad feeling the one and only time I used the GS service.....but mine turned out fine.
You can do a lot to help in some situations.
IF....you are stopped at or close to a business, go inside and get their address and zip code. That can speed up the "negotiations" a LOT.
