No service from roadside assistance

My husband and I were traveling from Florida to Utah where we would volunteer for the summer season with the Forest Service. A short distance west of Golden, CO, on I-70, we had a blow-out on our FW. My husband pulled immediately to the shoulder and I called GSRA. NO ANSWER. The number rang unanswered. I hung up and redialed the same number. A woman answered and I told her the situation. She began to ask a lot of questions about the FW and I reminded her that the issue wasn't the rig but a blown tire. She assured me that she had to know all about the rig itself. When we finished that useless exercise, she said she would call me back with details about the arrival of service. About 20 minutes later, as my husband put away the last of his tools, a highway patrol officer stopped to find out our problem. Just then GSRA called back to inform me that she thought she could have someone there in 70 minutes. I said never mind, we would handle it ourselves. The patrol officer gave us some advice about a nearby tire store and assisted us in returning to the highway. There was nothing available in Evergreen, the nearest town, so we returned to Golden and went to Camper's World. They said they didn't have any tires for our rig - a Keystone Cougar sold by Camper's World with many units on the lot. We asked if they could suggest a tire dealer and were told to look in the Yellow Pages. When I asked if they could assist with some names and phone numbers, the service person sighed and said with obvious reluctance he could do so. As you see, we had to solve our own problem with absolutely no assistance from "roadside assistance." At this same CW in Golden we had called two days previous to ask if we could stop by in two days for a service and possible minor repair. This was mid-May and we were told we could come in on June 6. We told the phone rep that we were traveling from Florida to Utah and the rep simply repeated the same thing. Not even a look at our problem. I complained to Customer Service for Good Sam and Camping World and got a phone call but no real offer to refund for the obviously useless GSRA or anything to compensate for our problem.
