Paid but Canceled

I received a flyer from GS Insurance and requested a quote. The quote from National General was very competitive and exceeded my current coverage with 5 model years of replacement coverage and purchase price thereafter. I was very interested and started to check them out. I found online reviews from different sources. All were negative with failures in customer service,adjusters, and payment. I called a friend for an opinion and he had National General several years ago and had to call his state insurance commissioner to get the claim paid. I have put it on hold for now and would hope GS could get coverage from a more reliable carrier.

My response is: "Strange, very strange!"

Why on earth do you get e-mail the day after ins. is canceled telling you it's cancelled yesterday? We paid it electronically according to their web site on the 26th, our account debited on 26th. Today at 4 something AM we are notified it's canceled for non payment! Why not say so a few days before not the day after? And why after they received payment 7 days ago?
What Gives????

Same reason they send you renewal notices warning you your membership has expired pay immediately. When in actuality you have paid your dues and your membership does not expire until next year. :R

Wake up GS! It is 2015 they make computers today that are capable of running programs designed for proper billing.

They all do it. Paid off our MH loan. Got a personal letter in the mail saying thank you for applying for a new loan you'll be receiving a payment book in the mail shortly. Seems like a waste but such is life with computers. When I called they had no idea why the letter was generated. Remember about computers. GIGO. Garbage in garbage out. :B

Called, Money got applied to last years term, how can it be applied to a term already paid for??
Anyhow we owed $17 dollars more for this year. Don't know why, but anyhow better to call I guess. Mess is cleared up now. Good thing we didn't have an accident yesterday though!

This same exact thing happened to me. I think they need some real professional computer help.

When I called in about it the lady who took my call seemed non-plussed about the whole thing.

But it does bring up some seroius questions about the fight you would have if something happened that required a claim over that period of time.
