I just read the article and nowhere did I read this was company wide policy. It referred to one camping world which had instituted this policy and lamented that some lots were now chained off which would prevent overnight.(it didn't say you could not stay if you arrived before the chain went up.)
I called a few different camping worlds(not scientific poll or extensive search)and got many answers to the questions; Do you allow overnight camping and Do you have to buy it from CW to use the service. Most said you could stay if there was available space, some said local regulations did not allow it(same with many Wal-Mart lots),some said okay but no hookups, one said no available space and one said they allow it but you must be out at opening in the morning. No one qualified the stay with "you had to buy from us"
