Yesterday Pilot on I65 just south of I80. I pay at the pump. I don't even go inside to pee. Why would I want to go inside to argue with some twit to save 5 cents a gallon? Please cancel my membership immediately. PM me for my number.

Hummmm!! The only station south of I80 on I65 is at Hebron exit and it is a Flying J. That station doesn't have a RV Island. If you was at the car Island did the pay at the pump, ask you to swipe your GS card after your CC? And the Truck pumps don't include taxes, which is added when you go inside to pay.Or if you used the Pilot Travel Center across the road from the Flying J it is also part of the Pilot/Flying J stations that give GS discounts. To know what Pilot/Flying J give you a discount with GS card. Download this PDF that has all locations good with the GS card. And also the ones that will not give you a GS discount. If you used the Pilot at I80 exit 15a then that one by the PDF locations doesn't give GS discounts. If you used it then it is not GS fault you didn't get a discount. May be yours for not checking.

The discount does not work in the entire state of Wisconsin because state law prohibits discounts on fuels. It also doesn't work at non-owned stations; i.e., locations where Pilot/Flying J provides only the diesel fuel but doesn't operate the station. I'm not sure if works at the diesel pumps at those stations. Several years ago there was a directory of all Pilot/Flying J stations that stated whether the discount applied.

Seriously??? You joined Good Sam for the sole purpose of saving 5 cents per gallon of fuel?

The Good Sam Club is a CLUB and is great for those of us that actually participate in the CLUB. Discounts are secondary.

If you drive 5000 miles, get 10mpg and save a nickel on each gallon purchased, that covers the cost of your membership, but I'm with you on this one.

Getting the discount is really a simple process, if, you know what you're doing. I've yet to have a problem with Pilot/Flying J.

I went from Florida to Ohio two weeks ago and noticed a LOT of Pilot/J stations and most all of them matched the prices of their nearby competitors and some actually were lower.

The RV market must not be very attractive. I don't see any of the other truck stops scrambling for the business that Flying J and Pilot try to court. Keep on condeming them and soon you will not have to worry about any discounts being offered.
