I buy fuel in the OKC area, and there are three Pilot fuel centers in the area. The one on I-40 and Choctaw Road will NOT give the fuel discount. The pumps are branded Pilot, they accept the card at the pumps and inside the store, yet they do not give us our fuel discount. I emailed card services, and they give the boilerplate "We don't own this station, and they don't have to give the discount".There are some stations that only accept the card at the diesel pumps, and the gas pumps are branded with the oil company that supplies it. That's ok. But, if your pumps are branded as Pilot or Flying J, and accept the RV plus card, they should give the discount!!!This needs to be resolved, either by removing the Pilot branding, posting that they do not give the discount ON THE PUMP, or make them give the discount.

What they told you is true.....about not being a "company" store.But I agree with you that the pumps should be clearly marked in those cases.....and/or the discount card should be rejected.

We've found this at one station in Southern California. I even have to go inside with my card to get the pump turned on. The pumps are branded "Pilot" and it's a PITA. Rob

As such, these locations can choose to "opt out" of the discount programs. Dealer locations do not offer discounts on gasoline and do not accept the cards in store. I don't think you read my post completely. this store DOES accept the card at the fuel pumps, GAS and DIESEL, And DOES ACCEPT THE CARD IN THE STORE. So, it's NOT a dealer location per your description. It is a Pilot station that is violating rules.

Franchises can set their own prices which includes not honoring discounts.

I have the Good Sam card but I don't use it for a discount and by that I mean if they give a discount fine if they don't that's fine too. I stop for fuel at a Pilot or Flying J because it is convenient but don't make it my go to for fuel.

You don't have a full grasp of the situation.

Accepting the credit card.....and allowing a discount......are two DIFFERENT things.

The credit card part is likely really a VISA or Mastercard "branded" card.

I still say that the pumps should be clearly marked.....or a message should come up on the screen indicating that there in no discount. NOT doing that is fraud in my book.

AND...suggesting downloading another invasive APP is NOT an acceptable solution.

Pilot already told you the stations are franchise and don't have to accept the card. Are you talking about the Good Sam/Pilot RV Card or the PILOT RV Card. There is a difference. And if franchise won't accept card, that is their call. PITA yes, so you've learned not to use that station.
