My wife and I have shopped at Camping World for a number of years-bought my first 5ver there. We bought a couple of lawn chairs that started to fall apart in less than one year. Took them to the store and I was told their is nothing that can be done. I remember when chairs lasted several years before needing replacement and I surely don't think you should have to buy an extended warranty like the sales person told me when I showed them to her. I have decided to now do my shopping at Amazon where they will replace defective merchandising or give you a refund-I only expected some kind of reasonable store type credit since we have used the chairs. I would then have bought two new ones right then and there.I am going to let my GS roadside assistance expire and also my store card when it comes due. I looked at some new 5vers at CW and I have decided to buy elsewhere. I sent an email in to CW but they wrote back that they were sending my email to the executive committee at CW (that is the person who sits in a small room with a round file that gets emptied every day in the trash).
Did you ask to speak to the Store Manager on the spot?
If not then you missed the best opportunity to get this fixed.
I am not defending CW but just reminding folks if you want something done right in a store ask to see the manager. His job and salary are often based on Sales and Customer satisfaction indexes. Written complaints to the head office are to be avoided. And he/she deserves the chance to rectify the situation first.
