Problem with Trip Planner

We are planning a trip from Salem, Oregon to Nashville for next September. I've use the trip planner to plan the trip. It is just wonderful, I spent two weeks finding all the campgrounds and attractions we want to see on the trip. I was amazed and very happy, until, I opened it up one morning and found my trips were all gone, vanished. Luckily I kept notes on my trip so I was able to recreate it in a couple of days. Well, whatever I did before, I did it again, gone again. I don't see an option for saving my trips so I'm probably not going to go to the trouble to do it again. Is there a fix for this?

Not a happy camper.

  • Well, I don't know how they did it but hats off to Christy and Mike who took charge of this issue and got all my trips back.
    Right down to the wire too since we are leaving for NS first thing in the morning.
    We're very happy to have all the trips back and they've assured me they are going to follow this issue through to a permanent solution.

  • Well folks, I too experienced the loss of trips, had some restored and recreated others earlier this spring.
    Now one week before a big trip and I logged on to make some updates to find that all the trips are gone again.
    Anyone else in the same situation here?
  • Very sad that GS can spend millions on advertising to my mailbox that I am mostly not interested in but wont fix a real benefit for my membership cost.
  • My old trips came back, but the new one did not. It's been okay for about 10 days now, so I'm hoping it will last. It has me re-thinking my plan to get the Good Sam navigator. Reviews are pretty mixed for this unit. We aren't leaving until the end of August, so there's plenty of time.
  • I haven't been able to even start the trip planner. I get a message saying that I need to log-out and log-in to reset my cookie. I've done that several times and I still get that message.
    Have I also lost my saved trips?
  • Same here. What gives? Either Good Sams is a professional organization with a professional website, or it's not. You guys better decide because you can't waste hours of people's time.
  • I too have had the same exact problem with all of my Good Sam Trip Planner saved trips vanishing.

    I put a LOT of work into them and now they are just gone.

    Not a good IT move especially unannounced.

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention and my apologies for the trouble. We had to reset our servers due to come pretty serious issues and a small number of our members lost their saved trips.
