Problems with National General
I am having serious problems with NG over a claim. I keep getting misinformation and the run around.
To make a long story short, my car was broken into on Mar 1. I filed an electronic claim on March 3 as I was told to do by the adjuster Kenneth Whitman. Nothing happened. I waited and waited. March 24 I called the 800 number, and the rep who answered said they had never received it. When I told him that even though it was my car that was broken into while away from my Motorhome, the adjuster said I had to file a Personal effects claim under the Motorhome. He didn't know what I was talking about. He talked to a supervisor and told me to do it again. SO I did. NO response.
I called back. They didn't have it. So he took the info on the phone and said an adjuster would call me. She (the adjuster, but not the same one as before) said essentially that the amount of my claim $439.00 would have a $50.00 deductible (which is true under my Full timer policy) and they would only pay 10% amounting to $44.00 (which is not true. So I would get nothing. When I disputed this she said she would call me back the next day. That was three days ago. No call.
I tried calling back her number today and was told it was a non-working number. I tried calling the 800 number and all I get is voice mail. I can't even get through to an operator by dialing zero.
My policy very clearly states that the limit of Personal affects is $3000.00 reduced to 25% for items stolen while away from the MH. So I should get about $389.00 which is close to what the original adjuster Mr. Whitman said.
So can anybody help with this?
