- RollnhomeExplorerI like having the "warranty", but don't like using it because that means I'm broke down somewhere. :)
- GreyghostExplorerWe've had one new MH and for that one we did not purchase an extended warranty. Our other two were 8 years old when we purchased them and we purchased an extended warranty for both. The first one had really good consumer clause, if you did not use it over the course of the contract all of your money was refunded. Our present one has been very successful. All future submissions for repair will be money in the bank. They have worked for us, but your mileage may vary.
- RollnhomeExplorerThank you. I'm considering purchasing a service contract for my MH.
- GreyghostExplorerNo, this was not a Good Sam policy. It was from Easy Care.

- RollnhomeExplorerGreyghost,
I assume this was under a Good Sam policy. - GreyghostExplorerIn 2013 we purchased a 2005 MH with 62K miles on it. Because it was 8 years old we purchased an extended warranty that is good until 7/2018 or 122k miles. Last year during our yearly trip we replaced the Transmission Control Module (TCM) ($4700), our cost $250.00. In July we had to have the refrigerator and coach water pump replaced ($5300), our cost $250.00. October this year we had to replace the front A/C ($1391.00), our cost $250.00.
In each repair instance we did not go to a dealer or CW. The TCM was replaced at Allison in Tucson AZ, total down time was 2.5 days. The refrigerator and water pump was replaced at Coastal RV Repair Topsham ME, total down time 5 days. The front A/C was replaced at Dillons RV Mesa AZ, total down time 7 days.
What I'm attempting to stress is that I had 3 major repairs done and my total down time was very acceptable. The repairs were all completed on time with no follow up required by me. You do not have to go to the selling organization, you simply follow the instructions and use the repair facility of your choice. - Scott_BlancExplorerThat's correct, we can enroll RVs with up to 80,000 miles on the odometer, but we just expanded the limit for rear engine diesels to 100,000 miles. Autos are also 100,000 miles.
Once you are enrolled, you can renew coverage every year until you reach 150,000 miles. Highest limit in the industry.
Go to GoodsamESP.com for more details. - gotsmartExplorer

Does Good Same sell extended warranty coverage for higher-mileage vehicles like this? If so, what is the max mileage cap?
Thanks!
Last time I checked - GoodSam ESP only covered motorhomes with less than 80,000 miles on the odometer. - RollnhomeExplorerI bought an extended warranty for my MH. It has more than paid off.
You are buying an insurance policy. Make sure you understand what is covered. Don't always believe the salesman as to what is covered.
Some like the piece of mind, many think they are a waste of money. Only you can make the choice for your self.
I bought one for a used car. Cost under 2K for 3 years. First year it paid 6K for a covered repair.
When I was younger I was talked into one by salesman on a new car. Never used it, thought I was ripped off.
