Sam's warehouse club, discount?

I thought I remembered a discount or rebate or something if you showed your Good Sam membership card when you were joining the Sams Club warehouse's. I renewed my membership this morning and they looked at me like deer in the headlights, when I showed the GS card and asked about a discount. Am I wrong, or are they not informed??
