Question

Does Standby Sam still exist? We signed up several years ago, and have not heard anything since.

We are more than willing to help campers in destress in our area, and hope that Standby Sam still is out there to help.

Yes, the Standby Sams volunteer network still exists! The Standby Sams directory can be found online at http://www.goodsamclub.com/community/VolunteeringDirectory.aspx. I noticed you’re from Virginia–there are 67 Standby Sams in Virginia, so chances are Good Sam Club members are contacting other Standby Sam volunteers in your area. I'm also a standby Sam. Imani members are probably not aware of this feature of the club. It should be easier to find on the website than it is and perhaps prompted more.

We just added Standby Sams in the drop down menu listing under the "Community" tab. You may need to refresh your browser to see this edit as it just went live! We also have Standby Sams featured on the volunteer page and will continue to further promote this valuable program!
