Suggestion for GSRA employees

First, I have GSRA and I am satisfied with the service and assistance I have gotten from them that is not what this is about. I recently renewed by GSRA membership as a matter of fact I did this on 091313 and the check cleared on 091713. Now today 100413 I get a letter from them saying that they just wanted to make sure I had not forgotten and to use the handy envelope to renew if needed. It also said to disregard if I had already renewed. While Im sure some folks appreciate this extra notice, but I for one, do not. It would seem that a decent programmer for their computer system could tack on something to show that a person has paid thereby saving labor, paper and postage. These savings could them be passed on to customer or used to improve benefits.

  • How come some people say they get tons of mail .weekly daily etc. We just got back from three months away and found nothing .nada . I'm worried that were missing something and probably like some others in my situation are not just treated the same..One mans junk is another mans treasure. Why is GS just picking on some people...

I'f it is the biggest problem you have you have nothing to worry about.. May the powers be give you the strength to be able to carry all the extra to the trash
  • Thank you for the posts. I apologize if any of the renewal or marketing mail processes have caused you any undue stress. We recently reviewed the pull process for renewal notices including the time for receipt and found that on average they take approximately 15 days to be received. On average we pull these offers 30 days prior to mailing knowing that some of them will be going to snowbirds and full-timers. Our intent is to ensure that all of our members have the opportunity to renew prior to expiring. We do have an automatic renewal option that doesn't send renewal notices. Instead members receive a postcard letting them know that their credit card has been charged. If a member is receiving unwanted mail they can call member services and choose the mail you would like to receive. For additional clarification or assistance with either option please call member services at 800-842-5351. Thank you, Zach
  • Yes the amount of mail we get is horrible. They must spend a fortune on this advertising/renewal postage. When we go full-time next spring and we change address to our other mail box I don't want all this crap.
How do I stop them from sending it?
  • I know exactly what you are saying. I get on the average a mailing or two a week from them wanting me to sign up for something I already have.
