Too funny- Thanks, Good Sam!

Satisfied customer Francesca Knowles reporting in to say, first, thanks for the excellent service today- car delivered to designated location, tow driver on time as promised.

But better yet, y'all made my day when we got home.

I came in the door to find my Husband listening to our recorded phone messages. I was mystified as to why he'd listen, push a button, listen again, push another button.... :h

Then it dawned on me:

Good Sam's automated system that checks on the status of service calls hadn't hung up when it got to our answering machine...and my Husband was ANSWERING the (recorded) autocall's "press one if you're happy" etc. questions!

He only stopped when I tactfully pointed out that he was talking only to our answering machine- and when I say "tactfully" I mean I'd stopped laughing long enough to get the words out. :B

That's one for my side in our Race to The Bottom, advancing geezerhood-wise.

  • Truck broke down while pulling my trailer. Roll back came put my truck on the roll back and hooked my trailer behind with no brake hookup and took us off the Blue Ridge Mountains, what a ride!!
  • A friend had two breakdown on a cross country trip and both times only one tow truck came and towed both the truck and 5th wheel combo to a lot and proceeded to tow the truck to the repair shop.
  • BroncosFan,
Had a problem a few years ago with the TV and we had 2 tow trucks show up. One for the TV and one for the TT. Funny thing was that they only had to tow everything up the ramp from the expressway as the dealer was right there.
They towed the TV into the service bay and the TT to the back of the dealer's lot.

I have never needed a tow Rv'ing so I was wondering if 2 tow trucks would be used or in general how it would work out thanks.

Yes if your truck broke down and you were pulling a trailer, then more than likely they would need two trucks. One for your truck and another for the trailer.
  • LOL - I can see myself doing that. And be caught by my DW!

  • No trailer this time.

I can tell you from prior experience, though, that in an event like that the car went on a hauler and the trailer was towed by the tow truck.
  • Was your trailer towed also? If so was it still hooked up to your car? Thanks.
