Trouble getting a refund

I, too, have an extended warranty that I bought through Camping World when we bought our trailer about 2 1/2 years ago. We traded the trailer for a Class A last week. I called Assurant, the company that Camping World uses for some of its extended warranties. They told me that I needed to contact the dealership that I purchased the trailer from and request a refund from them. I about had a heart attack! The woman at Assurant laughed and told me that they would be happy to "run interference" for me and contact CW to get the refund. She did say that it could take between 4-6 weeks. I faxed them my paperwork this morning. Hopefully they'll be more responsive than CW.

I am also having trouble getting my Good Sam Extended warranty refund. I have contacted Camping World. They says they will forward refund when they receive it. This is March 20 , I sold my RV in Nov. and contacted Camping World the beginning of Dec. for my refund. At this point they do not return my phone calls. Is there any help. Thanks

As I expected regarding my own refund, I've fallen into the infamous Camping World bad customer service black hole. No replies to questions about how much the refund will be or when I can expect to see it.

It's pretty much a given that, once Camping World has your money, they simply do not care about your satisfaction as a customer.

I submitted my request for a refund today. We'll see how long it takes, how many phone calls it takes and whether or not they actually follow the formula laid out in the contract.

I'm betting at least 2-3 months, half a dozen minimum and no.

It took over 8 weeks for me to get a refund from Ford warranty. I think it's all a scam so they can hold on to your money as long as possible.
