Used GSRA twice on same trip, different results

Heading from PA to VT last Saturday we encountered a blown rear tire not far from home, 11am. GSRA was timely and got us on our way within several hours. Very Happy :)

Coming home from VT to PA the next Saturday, had a flat rear tire on the other side : ( (it was brand new, the valve stem was bad).

Second GSRA experience not so good. Waited 2 hours to receive the text about our service provider. I called back after an hour and rep said that maybe i would have better luck if i started calling around on my own. :? (uh, isn't that why i pay for roadside assistance?)

I had to call back a third time and get grumpy asking for a manager and low and behold we got our text within 15 minutes. after 4 hours being stuck on a very narrow shoulder of a very busy Interstate we were on our way.

Being an ole man, over the years the word service doesn't mean much. It just seems like the younger generation don't care much if they help you or not. It's not only road side assistance but even in the stores, same way.
I remember back when you drove in to a Service station, they sold gas, checked the oil, water, and cleaned the windshield. Even air in your tires if you asked.

I have noticed that since I am older I get better service rather than less. When I call for roadside assistance I don't tell them how old I am. Only thing I do tell them is the problem and speak slower cause I'm hearing impaired. :)

  • X2, its the phone person who has to get things going. and if they don,t know there job?your in trouble.
  • Whether GS, Coach Net, AAA....it all depends upon the person on the other end of the line. Some are good, some not so good.
