It does not matter whom the broker is that sells the policy, its the insureds responsiblity to read and understand the terms of the policy. Most do not cover things that are considered maintenance items.
Deteriorated slide seals. Loose, corroded wiring connections, dirty orfices and the like are maintenance items not covered under many policies.
