Wifi at Good Sam parks
Until this summer I had always felt that one of the advantages of Good Sam parks was good wifi access. Most of the Good Sam Parks we stayed at this summer continued to have pretty good wifi. However, this summer we stayed at two Good Sam parks that used Tengointernet. I found Tengointernet really difficult to use. It uses a security procedure that is really aimed at Windows PC users and is very user unfriendly to Mac or Android device users. The information provided about how to access wifi by the staff at the parks we stayed in was contradictory and confusing. I still do not not know how it should have been done. At one park I called the toll free number for help. I was put on a hold for about 20 minutes constantly hearing a message saying my call would be answered in 1 to 3 minutes. After finally getting to a live support person he did not give me enough information to allow me ever get my Mac connected. I gave up in disgust that evening and never accessed the internet. At the other Good Sam Park using Tengointernet we did get some wifi access, but it was unreliable and our devices would not stay connected. In previous years we usually did not have very good wifi access when we stayed at private non-affiliated campgrounds. Although some of the Good Sam campgrounds had good wifi this year, we found our best wifi at a couple of private non-affiliated campgrounds.
