worst insurance sign up experience - Beware

So as a long time Good Sam member when my camper insurance came up this year I decided to take a look at the good sam offer. Once i reviewed it and decided to sign up, it went down hill fast. Completed all the online forms paid in full and received a welcome email with the note I needed to resolve outstanding issues please click here. the click lead to the insurance site, signed in had a couple of "information" PDF's,read them no further instructions. two weeks later I get an email notifying me i=of pending cancellation of policy due to lack of signature, so I call them the nice lady that answers the phone looks up my information, outs me on hold for 20 min, then comes back and apologizes that she could not access the document that needs to be signed and it looks like it was never generated and sent for me to sign either, promises to track it down and call me back 4 days now and no contact, My recommendation is to avoid this insurance offer, if that can not set up a policy, I'd hate to have a claim. Guess I'll be going back to my old insurance company. The rest of Good Sam has been GREAT though.

  • E-mailing anything to GS is a disaster. I have had their insurance since 1986. Always contact them by phone and have never had a problem. I have had several claims for glass breakage. Have never had any problems with claims on the phone. Have never seen any large increases in premiums as mentioned in some previous posts. I've been happy with Natl Gen, GMAC, now GS insurance.
