Do you think it could be the hydraulic system alarm for the level legs? Have you seen any lights illuminate on the level controller?

    MM.
  • My low pressure alarm is a bright red flashing light that says 'low press' in the speedo housing. Same with 'water in fuel'. It also comes with a loud beep to tell me to check it. Yours should be the same. Not doubting you, but since the coach is new to you, are you positive it's the low air pressure alarm.>????.not water in fuel.>?????...Dennis
  • Our dash also lights up "low air" sometimes. Not often, but every once ina while. Sometimes the light is bright, other time dim. Never any alarm beeper, just the light on the dash. Both guages are always right up near 115 where they should be.

    I ignore it.
  • Why do I think this is the parking brake switch?...see no lights, just an alarm..and we all know this happens.
  • We had the place that we purchased it from check it out and they thought it was the park brake alarm. Was told pressure needed to at 100 but had driven it for about 30 miles, turned off for maybe 5 minutes checked the pounds to make sure was at 100 and was driving again and the alarm went off a mile into the drive. No light comes on for it or water in fuel.
  • "madiline"....This is a really common issue with Monaco's. Typically, the alarm goes off when you first put it in gear and drive away. Occasionally, they will go off while driving. If yours is going off when you first put it in gear and release the brake, pull the brake back on and then slam it down. If this shuts the alarm off, it's the parking brake switch that has gone bad. The switch is made by a company called Naston. They're suppose to last forever, but obviously don't. The switch is attached to the underside of your parking brake, inside that panel by your left leg. It's a brass switch with air connections and wires that plug in. It's about the size of your thumb.

You should only buy it from Monaco parts because they make about 20 different models of it. It's about $50.00 shipped from Monaco.

The only other thing that can make a similar alarm, could be your jacks. The tank for the jacks is in the louvered bay in front of the left rear tire. Lower the front jack, 6" with the ignition switch on. The alarm should sound. Go to the tank and have someone listen for the alarm. Remove the cap in the center of the tank and fill until the alarm goes off....that's it. Raise the front jack.....if that was your issue, it should be solved.
  • Ahhh, the parking brake alarm. Noisy bastard. We had that go intermittent too,
Ours was the pressure sensor, not the parking brake switch. Easy to get too, just unscrew the drivers "arm" switch panel and pull it up. Our wires were plenty long to access everything. I just googled the numbers on the switch and got one quick and cheap.
  • We have air levelers. We are leaving the area we are in the end of the month so will find out then if the alarm goes off since it has been parked after purchasing it. Thank you for the information is a start to finding the problem.
I have another question we have went from pulling a 5th wheel to this Class A. When we purchased I was given several directions on how to ready for travel since we have air leveling system. Some said dump air then travel mode. Some said raise then travel mode. I am so confused as to the right way to dump the air from leveling mode to travel.
