09 Cambria front nose brackets broken
In my on going quest to have my TV and satellite talking to each other I have located another problem. The Itasca Cambria's nose does not have a bed, it is more aerodynamic and the
entertainment center is there instead. I have had a 60 MPH squeak. I located and repaired two brackets that have come loose which fasten and support the fiberglass . I used some JB weld
and gorilla epoxy. I drove the coach and it was still there, only this time worse. With the tv still removed I was able to inspect, grab and shake the front cabinet hoping to find the issue.
I looked in-between the plywood base of the cabinet and the headliner of the cab and there is another bracket that broke. I had commented to the wife it sounds like metal to metal rubbing.
The bracket is inaccessible without a huge project. The next best thing,I thought, was to immobilize it. Broke out the can of 'great stuff' the foam insulation in a can and sprayed the bracket
which I hope will just keep it from moving. Also added a little in-between the plywood and headliner to keep that from moving. There was some in there from the original build but had
broken loose.
I am on my way to resolving my TV issue with the help of Jonathan, one of the geeks from best buy. He gave me some great advice the other day and I get to try that out this morning.
Ill keep you posted.
