1983 Ford Tioga Arrow wiring problems.

Question

Hi everyone. new to the site. I have some issues with wiring. 1. tailights and hazrds inoperable. replaced both flasher relays,fuses are fine. was working last week, then nothing. no backups, no hazards, no turn signals. 2. fuel pump. heard the whirring, little kid that lives downstairs from me, crawled thru and mangled some wiring(GRRR!!!) now nothing. I have heard horror stories about this fuel system, went to dump my black water tank,left the site, got about a mile and stalled out. got 20 bucks in gas, almost a half tank, left station, no whir. was under it today, repaired a loose connection, tried to start it...nothing!! no click, no lights, no NOTHING!! Im frustrated..

find the ground wire,white , a lot of light problems are caused by a bad ground. and buy a meter about $10. bucks it,ll save a lot of looking.

Would recommend buying the Ford shop manual for your vehicle. Can find on line on CD from 29.95 these will have the complete wiring schematic for the chassis. But would run vin decoder first just to make sure what year the chassis is.

I agree with midnight. Corroded grounds cause all sorts of issues. First thing I did when I got my 1983 Jamboree (E350) was clean all grounds and put fresh ground wire on my gen set. You need at least a test light to see how far power gets. If you have 12V at the pump, then it is bad ground or bad pump.
