1993 Cobra alternator problems
New member, second post. My dads rig, 1993 Phoenix by Cobra. P30 chassis, 454 engine. He's gone through 3 alternators in about 10K miles, that last 2 went out during a 7,500 mile, coast-coast trip...

He would need a helper to locate it. Have an assistant operate the switch while he listens for the relay. It could be right near the two battery disconnect relays.
Sounds like he must operate the switch to charge the coach batteries from the chassis alternator. Correct?
The parallel switch is a momentary (spring loaded) style. It is generally used to tie all the batteries together to start the engine in an emergency. The alternator is always charging all three batteries.
He uses the isolation switches by the stairs when in storage.
