1994 Safari Trek ..?

Looking for the good, the bad and the ugly on a 1994 Trek with the Isuzu 3.9L TD.

Our youngest DD has found one that looks interesting for their family and wants to know what to look for when she goes to see it. I have advised her to take it to PMS RV Center in Clearwater for a through inspection, before making any offer.

  • Yes, I agree that PMS is a great place for service, both on the house and the chassis. I started using them in the late 90's and now days that is the ONLY place in the TB area that I will let touch my coach.

Thanks for the info. Do you know of any peculiarity she should watch for on an inspection?
  • PMS is a great place and where I take my coach to do work that I don't want to bother with. The '94 Trek does not have a lot of power but it will cruise all day at 55-60, which is just about the maximum speed. As mentioned, it does not have a lot of excess power with only 135 HP so it is not the best RV for towing another vehicle. She can expect to get 12-15 MPG and the coach is small enough to fit almost anywhere. If she has any questions I would go to this website that is just for Trek owners. Trek Tracks
